Legendary rock band Hoobastank made an epic return to Manila after two decades. Fans all over the country experienced a night filled with nostalgia and high-energy performances.
As the band returned to Manila, it also marked their 20th anniversary as a group and a thrilling comeback to the country. They kicked off their concert last February 12, 2025, at the SM Aura Samsung Hall delivering an unforgettable concert packed with their iconic music.
Hoobastank last performed in the Philippines back in 2004 at the Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas (formerly Folk Arts Theater). Fans knew it was worth the wait as they were rewarded with a night with the band and special inclusions with the concert.
A special guest performance from the Filipino emo band Typecast was added to set the mood and vibe of the concert.
The energy in the venue soared as the band launched into a powerful setlist packed with their biggest hits. They kicked things off with “The Reason,” followed by performances of “Crawling in the Dark,” “Running Away,” “Out of Control,” “Don’t Look Away,” “Same Direction,” and “My Turn.”
As the night progressed, they kept the momentum high with fan favorites like “Pieces,” “This Is Gonna Hurt,” “No Win Situation,” and “No Destination.”
The crowd sang along to every word of “Remember Me,” while the emotional depth of “Inside of You” and “I Don’t Think I Love You” left a lasting impression, making the night an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
Adding more to the night’s special moments, the band included a meet and greet session with fans making sure they immersed themselves in the full experience and savoring every moment after a very long wait for the band’s return.
Even after 20 years, Hoobastank made a ‘core memory’ moment in the lives of their fans. Hearing their iconic hits live this time around, it was indeed a night to remember and cherish.
